Can I have a Acura specialist do a pre-purchase inspection, and what do common out-of-warranty repairs on a Acura MDX cost?

Acura parts and labor usually cost more than mainstream brands, so a specialist's inspection before you buy is cheap insurance.

When were the transfer case and differential fluids last changed?

All-wheel and four-wheel-drive systems have their own service schedule that is easy to skip, and neglect is expensive.

Many powertrain warranties run 5 years or 60,000 miles; some brands only transfer with a fee or not at all.

The advertised price is rarely what you pay. An itemized out-the-door quote exposes doc fees and pre-installed add-ons before you negotiate.

Dealers inspect and repair trade-ins to different standards. Ask what was replaced, what was left alone and whether the state inspection is current.
